This is a set of two mixing bowls in the Gooseberry pattern, made by Pyrex. The smaller one is an 8.75" diameter, white, 2-1/2 quart # 443 mixing bowl. It has a black pattern and the Pyrex markings on the bottom. The larger of the two is a 10.5" diameter, yellow & white, 4 quart # 444 mixing bowl. Other than some gray contact marks and a few small scratches in the finish on the outside, it's in really nice condition, with the same black pattern and Pyrex markings on the bottom. When I originally came across these, I listed them separately. They had no damage at that time, other than the marks on the yellow bowl, which I mentioned earlier. The white one was sold to a person who later tried to claim that it was "garbage" and that it was "cracked between the glass and the glaze". She DEMANDED I refund her money, saying I intentionally sent her a broken bowl. When I refused to refund for her obvious "buyer's remorse", she returned the bowl anyway, but first she damaged the corners of both handles. The corners now have large chips which were not there when I sent it, nor were they in the original pictures. It looks like it was struck against a hard object, based on the location of the chips. As for the "crack"?? It's nothing but a manufacturing imperfection. It looks like a long line of ripples in the glass. It is visible from the outside, but I was only able to get really clear pictures by shining a light through it. The yellow bowl has a similar marking in the same area of the bowl. These type of marks are very common in older glassware of this type. These are really beautiful old bowls. It's a shame that one was treated as it was by a dishonest individual. I'm hoping they go to a person who will appreciate them, and who has a better understanding of glassware!!
