This is a lighted sign that hangs on the wall. When it's on, the globe lights up and the outer globe revolves. The continents are golden colored and the inner globe is textured. When it revolves it gives the effect of rippling water. The light shines through the red letters on the silver band, which are also textured. Overall height is 16" and it's 9-1/2" wide. Below the Schlitz logo it says The beer that made Milwaukee famous. The chrome band around the globe has text along the rim which says Part No. 82709 copyright 1968 Joseph Schlitz Brewing Co. Milwaukee Wis and other cities. There are two union tags and a third tag from Everbrite Electric signs Inc. on the top. My father brought this home from a tavern that was closing. I was in high school at the time. This lamp hung on the wall of my bedroom for many years, and was then packed away in a box for almost 15 years. There are many small spots of aqua paint on this piece. It also has what looks like tape residue on the globe, and on the Schlitz logo. The wooden back board has some wear and the backboard and plastic both have some scratches. There is paint on the back board as well. The lower half of the outer globe is cracked. All of this is exactly as it was when I first got it.
