This is a very old set which consists of 6 steak knives with hand carved handles and a brass and carved wood holder. The holder rests on four brass feet. The side of the holder and each of the knives is marked India. As you can see, the wood is kind of dry looking and the brass is tarnished and will need to be cleaned. The knives are tarnished and there are some rust spots on some of them. One knife has a cracked handle that has been re-glued. Each of the knives has a small hole at the base of the shaft. The holder has two metal balls in each slot. When the knife is pushed into the holder, the balls move outward into the holes and hold the knives very securely in the holder. The holder itself is 8.5" long by 3.5" wide.
