This piece is approximately 8" long and about 5-3/4" at its widest point. I believe it is ceramic, as the glaze has the kind of imperfections on the bottom usually associated with non-commercial ceramic items. It has a round spot in the elevated area of the point. I really don't know what this would have been for, though.
